Description
A male munitions employee at the Small Arms Factory carries out a Bayonet's 10 ton test. Every bayonet that is produced by the factory must undergo most stringent tests before it is released for service. After a bayonet has been hardened, it is placed in this machine. With a circular movement, the machine brings the bayonet down on the hardwood block at the right hand side of the picture with a force that is equal to 10 tons.
