c. 1916. A portrait of 797 Private Alexander Richard Hincks, 35th Battalion. Private Hincks was killed in action on 1917-06-07, he is buried in the Mud Corner British War Cemetery, Warneton, Belgium. This portrait is taken from a composite photograph presented to the Abermain RSL by the ladies of the Abermain Comforts Fund. The composite photograph comprises portraits of the twenty five servicemen from Abermain who lost their lives in the war of 1914-1918 (Australian War Memorial negative number P01920.001).
