c. 1917. A portrait of 540 Lance Corporal Robert Paterson, 36th Battalion. Lance Corporal Paterson died of wounds on 1918-04-05, aged 25. He is buried in the Boves West Communal Cemetery Extension, Boves, France. This portrait is taken from a composite photograph presented to the Abermain RSL by the ladies of the Abermain Comforts Fund. The composite photograph comprises portraits of the twenty five servicemen from Abermain who lost their lives in the war of 1914-1918 (Australian War Memorial negative number P01920.001).
