Rangoon, Burma. C. 1945-08. One of the "Topsy" aircraft carrying the Japanese surrender envoys arrives at Mingaladon airfield, Rangoon, watched by a crowd of RAF personnel. They were escorted by a squadron of RAF Spitfire fighter aircraft. They came in two Japanese "Topsy" aircraft, and were guided on to the runway from the control tower by an RAF interpreter who speaks fluent Japanese.
