Armistice Day, Sydney, 1918
Description
A crowd in Martin Place, central Sydney, celebrate the news of the signing of the armistice. This date was celebrated in subsequent years as Remembrance Day. The young lady centre front of the crowd (in a white hat with floppy brim) is believed to be Eva May Zuill, daughter of William Zuill who was for a time a member of the NSW Legislative Assembly.
