418578 Flight Sergeant (later Warrant Officer [WO]) Derek George Stewart of Ascot Vale, Vic (third right) was one of the crew of an aircraft which dropped supplies to Polish patriots. WO Stewart was lost on operations over Yugoslavia on 5 November 1944 and is buried in the Belgrade war cemetery.
