Description
Mount Martha, Vic. c. 1940. Trials conducted at Mt. Martha Military Camp to determine the effects of driving tracked vehicles through loosely coiled barbed wire. Note the damage to the Universal Carrier (Bren Gun Carrier), the bent front fender and the wire caught in the tracks. This carrier was probably the first armoured vehicle in Australia and was used as a prototype for the manufacture of these vehicles. (Donor; R. Andrews)
