Wallet 1 of 1 - Consists of 2 folders containing a letter, diary, book of poems and card pertaining to Hopper's service with 1 Motor Ambulance Convoy during the Second World War.

Folder 1 of 2 consists of one letter and one card. The letter was sent from medical officer Donald Blanchard Wherrett to Hopper's wife, updating her on her husband's condition. Hopper had been in addmitted to hospital with an unknown disease following an ordeal in Greece for which he reveived praise from his Commanding Officer. The card contains an advertisement for condoms and a cartoon with an inscription on one side, though it is unclear who wrote it.

Folder 2 of 2 consists of one diary and one book of poems. The diary was maintained by Hopper between 26 December 1940 and 13 January 1942 and contains accounts about his journey from Australia and throughout Egypt, Greece, and Turkey. It also provides notes on his day-to-day duties, the weather, and several poems about his experience in service. He also mentions several air attacks by the Germans in 1941. The book of poems contains 14 poems and one song about Hopper's experiences in service, his loved ones back at home, and RMS Queen Mary.
