Identified personnel are: Wing Commander J M Whyte, Commanding Officer (wearing a steel helmet) and Sergeant (Sgt) G Dowe; Sgt R Curtis; Sgt N Brown; Sgt P Manning. The Lockheed Hudson behind them (the nose is visible), (constructor's no 6500) is A16-247, which received anti aircraft damage in an attack on Timoeka, New Guinea on 5 April 1943 and crash landed at Millingimbi with extensive damage.
