Description
Detailed and incisive record of service as a Signaller in two major theatres. Covers sea voyage to Middle East, training and leave, active service in North Africa including Tobruk, garrison duty in Syria, and later active service in New Guinea. There is a noticable hardening of attitude to the enemy in New Guinea, and a growing dissatisfaction with the army and the war.
