Danger Radioactive
Description
The poster was first introduced by the Royal Australian Air Force in June 1957 to be used as a warning label “to ensure maximum safety to all personnel responsible for handling “Radioactive material” " (NAA:A705). This particular poster has an inscription top right to indicate its printing date ‘R.A.A.F. POSTER 266 (NOV. 1961)’. It is representative of ephemera produced during the Australian nuclear testing years 1952 – 1963.
