Lincolnshire, England. 1943-08-18. No. 460 (Lancaster) Squadron RAAF of Bomber Command at RAF Station Binbrook, took part in the highly successful raid on Peenemunde on the night of 1943-08-17. All their aircraft returned safely, though one was damaged by an encounter with an enemy night fighter. The RAF Padre, Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Anderson, met the crews on their return with cigarettes, biscuits and hot tea. Taking a cup of tea from Sqn Ldr Anderson is the Commanding Officer 402059 Wing Commander C. E. Martin DSO DFC of Cassilis, NSW.
