Left to right: 8966 Sergeant (Sgt, later Flight Sergeant [Flt Sgt]) Kenneth Gordon Keech of Melbourne, Vic: 412185 Sgt (later Flt Sgt) Patrick Reen of Casino, NSW: 404989 Sgt (later Pilot Officer [PO]) Ronald Ryan of Brisbane, Qld: Flying Officer (FO) H C McCulloch of Perth, WA [possibly 406810 Hugh Cunningham McCullough]: and 408811 FO Ralph R James of Shepparton, Vic. Flt Sgts Keech and Reen, and PO Ryan and FO James were all killed on 28 April, 1943 while serving with RAAF in the Darwin region and are listed on the Ambon memorial in the Netherland East Indies.
