Collection related to William Charles Murphy and Coroline Duminski
Description
Group portrait of three AIF soldiers, one of whom is known to be Ernest Otto Duminski (possibly seated, centre). Otto Duminski embarked in 1915 and was posted to the 47th Battalion. On 5 April 1918, Duminski was wounded at Dernancourt and subsequently taken prisoner of war. He had received a shell wound to his right arm and leg, occasioning the amputation of his left leg. He was repatriated to Holland on 25 August 1918 and from there to hospital in London. he returned to Australia in 1919.
