A map of the tripled-walled city of ancient Babylon depicting the city as it was during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II who reigned from 605-562 B.C. Babylon is situated on the Euphrates River approximately ninety kilometres south of the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
