Description

One of the scimitars (curved swords), sculptures located at either end of a road known as Victory Parade. The scimitar is held by a massive hand and forearm which rises from opposite sides of Victory Parade. The arm and hand is said to be modelled on that of Saddam Hussein the ruler of Iraq. On the pommel of each scimitar is a net containing thousands of helmets which spill down the plinth and onto the road symbolising the heads of the vanquished enemy.
