Description

Nambu Type 94 semi automatic pistol. Frame marked with the Nagoya Arsenal Torimatsu Factory stamp, three Japanese characters for Type 94, the serial number and 17.2 indicating March 1942. It has black chequered grips and detachable six shot magazine. A fixed square lanyard loop is attached to the back of the frame.

History / Summary

This type of pistol was noted in contemporary allied handbooks on the Japanese forces as having particularly crude construction, which prohibited positive alignment of barrel and cylinder, making its accuracy questionable.
