Balls Head Bay, Sydney, NSW, c. 1940. Coaling ship HMAS Doomba at the Kerosene Bay coal loader. A dockyard worker has just tipped the wicker basket of coal into the starboard coal bunker. Note the four wheeled trolley and the gantry to take the loaded baskets from the wharf across the ship to the bunker hatch. (Donor J. Jones)
