Fremantle, WA. 1940-05. Informal group of naval personnel standing on the deck of HMAS Adelaide. This torpedo party includes Gunner Fred Pitt RAN (back row, 4th from left), and on his right is the Captain. Note the anti splinter protection around the bridgework and the starboard 6 inch gun on the left. HMAS Adelaide was in Fremantle at this time on escort and patrol duties.
