Description

The surviving 2/2nd Pioneer prisoners of war (POWs), with the 2/2nd Pioneer Battalion pennant, celebrating the end of three and a half years in captivity. They were transported to Shikoku to work in the mines following the completion of the Burma-Thailand Railway. Identified are:
