Petrusch, Albert Edward John (Trooper, d.1915)
Collection relating to the First World War service of 469 Private Albert Edward John Petrusch, 9th Australian Light Horse Regiment, 30 June - 5 August 1915.
Collection consists of three letters written to the Petrusch family from medical personnel detail the circumstances surrounding the death of Petrusch. The letter from Dr. Captain Alan Sinclair Darvall Barton details the initial injury Petrusch sustained to the thigh and the subsequent infection he suffered from clothing that contaminated his wound. All three letters emphasise the bravery and good spirits Petrusch displayed during his period of hospitalisation.
