Beersheba, Palestine. 1917-11. 572 Corporal John Thomas Reynolds, 11th Australian Light Horse (11ALH) (left), stretcher bearer 1955 Private Edgar Johns (middle) and an unknown serviceman, filling chaff bags. Corporal Reynolds later died on 16 November 1917 from wounds which he received in the Charge of Bersheeba. Johns was awarded a DCM (Distinguished Conduct Medal) for gallantry in attending to Reynolds when he was wounded. (Donor N. MacDonald)
