Description
The unidentified British E class submarine which got under nets at the Narrows during the Dardanelles operations and sank several transports in the Sea of Marmora and bombarded a railway near Constantinople. It was also the first submarine to be mounted with a 4.7 inch gun, this photograph was taken just after mounting had been completed.
