Nui Dat, South Vietnam. c. 8 March 1968. 'Pathfinder' Corporal Ivan Sinclair of Dorrigo, NSW, directs the landing of Iroquois helicopters onto the Luscombe airfield at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base. The choppers were about to lift 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) troops into the Long Hai Hills to the south for the beginning of Operation Pinnaroo.
