Jerusalem, Palestine. c.1915. Turkish transport unit drivers, led by military band members playing their musical instruments, pass through Jaffa Gate. General Allenby entered Jerusalem through this gate on 11 December 1917 after allied soldiers had captured the town from the Turks on 16 November 1917. The clock tower stands on the right.
