Description
Bac Lieu, South Vietnam. c.1965-06. Rescue workers search for additional victims in the rubble of the damaged Thai Thanh restaurant in the provincial capital city, located 200 kilometres southwest of Saigon. A Viet Cong plastic bomb wrecked a side of the restaurant in a lunch time explosion on 22 June 1965. The restaurant owner, his daughter and a woman who was passing by were killed, and nineteen others were injured. The sign on the restaurant advertises that it sells beer and soft drink.
