Saigon, South Vietnam. Dr. Dung van Chieu, director of the Cho-Ray Hospital (left), and Mr Donald G. MacLeish, with patients in a hospital ward during the surgical team's brief stay in the capital before leaving for Long Xuyen. On 12 October an eight man Australian surgical team, led by MacLeish, arrived in Long Xuyen, An Giang Province, South Vietnam, near the Cambodian-Vietnamese frontier to assist the South Vietnamese.
