Boer War Map
Description
Map relating to 230 Private Arthur Hunt, NSW Mounted Rifles. Private Hunt brought the map back with him from service in South Africa 1901-1902.
Map depicts the South African Republic (Transvaal), the Orange Free State, Natal and Bechaunaland. It has red markings indicating points of interest, likely including the railway stations which were strategically important during the war. It also has Middleburg indicated with a specific marking. Middleburg was the site of a British Concentration Camp.
