Description
Japan, 1950. The Bingo Committee of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR) conducts a recreational bingo night in what is possibly the soldiers' mess. Left to right: Lance Corporal Basil Kenworthy; unknown in civilian dress at rear; Captain Ronald George Morahan, the battalion Quarter-Master (QM) who is holding a bingo card in his outstretched arm; unknown sergeant at the microphone. Resting on the table are a bingo card, two glasses of beer and a tray containing the balls for calling out the bingo numbers. 3RAR was serving in Japan as part of BCOF.
