Strauss, NT. c. 1944. An informal portrait of Group Captain B. R. "Blackjack" Walker DSO, standing beside a Spitfire aircraft, who led a Beaufighter Squadron in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea, and strikes against the Japanese at Buna, New Guinea. He later became Commanding Officer of No. 1 (Fighter) Wing and Air Defence Headquarters RAAF.
