Description
A display of a model yacht, ship and caravan, with drawings and paintings, in an exhibition of some of the arts and crafts created by the allied prisoners of war (POWs) at Fort 15, Stalag XXa. This German prisoner of war (POW) and internment camp was in a series of semi underground forts built in the 1880s on the Vistula River. Prisoners included men of the 2/5th Australian General Hospital (AGH) who were captured in Greece after they were ordered to remain behind to treat wounded allied POWs following the evacuation.
