Shimotsui, Japan, 1947. View overlooking a Japanese coastal resort. At left, a jetty stretches out into the water from the white sandy beach at centre. The buildings at right are part of the resort hotel complex. The resort is used for periods of recreational leave by Australian soldiers serving with BCOF.
