Laverton, Vic. C. 1944-12. WAAAF Meteorological Assistants of the Meteorological Section at RAAF Base Laverton release a meteorological balloon. The one on the left followed the flight of the balloon through a theodolite to provide details of its track to the one on the right so that wind direction and velocity could be computed.
