Members of the Women's Royal Australian Naval Service (WRANS) queue in a dining room at HMAS Harman Naval Wireless Station. They are collecting their midday meal from a chef who is pouring sauce on the plates before the women take them. Identified third from the left is WR/457 Wran Writer Joan Edmondson from Perth, Western Australia and on the far right is WR/169 Wran Telegraphist Jean Simpson from Sydney, NSW.
