Hiro, Honshu, Japan, c. 1948-05. Two Australian soldiers sit in easy chairs and read in the well-stocked library of the military camp at Hiro where the 67th Infantry Battalion, part of the Australian component of BCOF, is located. All of the books on display are technical and reference publications. On top of the bookcase at right, a portrait of King George VI rests against a background formed by an Australian flag. (Donor I.
