Description
Japan, 1948-06-12. The bridal party chats with guests at the wedding reception for 3/86 Lieutenant Colonel Fergus MacAdie, Commanding Officer of the 67th Infantry Battalion serving with BCOF, and his wife. The bride and groom are at right facing the camera. Standing in a row next to them also facing the camera are the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The officer at extreme left is 2/81 Major Frederick Thomas Whitelaw, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA). The reception is taking place at Mudge Hall, the former palace of a Japanese prince that had been taken over as a club for American cavalry officers. (Donor I. Robertson)
