Hiro, Honshu, Japan, 1948-12-25. A group of soldiers from the 67th Infantry Battalion, part of the Australian component of BCOF, drinking glasses of beer at the conclusion of their Christmas dinner in the soldiers' mess. At right, one of the soldiers is sitting in his sergeant's lap. The soldiers in the back row third and fourth from left are respectively Lieutenant James John Thompson and 2/45200 Corporal Vince Bennett. (Donor I. Robertson)
