During an official visit to British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF), Lieutenant General Sir William Bridgeford CB CBE MC inspects a guard of honour composed of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR). The guard commander walking next to the general is 57509 Captain Bernard Shelley O'Dowd. The soldiers are lined up standing at attention at the Kure docks. The last three soldiers at the right end of the row of troops, left to right , are: Corporal L J 'Larry' Moon; Private 'Terry' Gard; and 1314 Sergeant T L 'Tom' Muggleton. 3RAR was formerly the 67th Infantry Battalion.
