Description
Haramura area, Honshu, Japan, c. 1950-09-21. Two members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), dig a foxhole or dugout. Set up in front of the foxhole (left) is a 3.5 inch Bazooka or rocket launcher, against which one of the soldier's rifles is leaning. The soldiers are at Haramura, BCOF's main field training centre, taking part in a final series of exercises before 3RAR's departure for Korea. (Donor I. Robertson)
