Honshu, Japan, c. 1950-09-22. Members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), rest against an embankment during a break in a route march along a country road. The soldiers have been at Haramura, BCOF's main field training centre, where they have been taking part in the battalion's final series of exercises before its departure for Korea. (Donor I.
