Description
Naktong River, Korea, A convoy of military vehicles makes its way over a pontoon bridge across the Naktong River. Lying overturned in the foreground (left) is a wrecked truck, part of the damage from a battle that stopped the southward advance of the North Korean forces at this point. Bringing up the rear of the convoy is an ambulance truck, distinguished by the red crosses painted on its side and back. The convoy is transporting the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), from Songju to Taegu airfield. (Donor I. Robertson)
