Captain Burdock is a member of 1 Field Hospital Ingleburn, NSW, serving in Rwanda with the Australian Medical Support Force as the Officer in Charge of Pathology at Kigali Central Hospital. The Australian Medical Support Force is part of UNAMIR (United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda), a peacekeeping mission in the war-torn central African nation. The medical support force provides medical treatment to UN troops and humanitarian assistance to local people.
