Description
RAAF medical officer Squadron Leader Peter Clarke and RAAF medical assistant Leading Aircraftman Stephen Rust use a Mobile Intensive Care Rescue Facility (MICRF) on a Rwandan patient in a resuscitation bay inside the Kigali Central Hospital. The MICRF was designed as a portable self contained resuscitation facility to be used for strategic aeromedical evacuations (AME) and other applications. The Australian Medical Support Force, part of UNAMIR (United Nations Assistance Mission in Rwanda) (peacekeeping), runs the UN wing of the Kigali Central Hospital.
