Description
Kimpo airfield, Korea, 1951-01. Members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), about to board a Douglas C47 Dakota of No. 86 Transport Wing RAAF. The aircraft is about to fly the soldiers to Japan where they will take rest and recreation leave, the first group of 3RAR troops to do so. Baggage is being loaded aboard the Dakota from a truck and a jeep with trailer which are parked next to it. (Donor I. Robertson)
