Hiro, Japan, 1950. Informal portrait of Mr Mori, a Japanese civilian, sitting at his desk. Mr Mori worked as a laboratory film processor for the photographers of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), in Japan. Before World War 2, Mr Mori had worked as a photographer in Malaya and, from about 1946, had started working for the Australian component of BCOF. At the time of this portrait, he was about 65 years old. (Donor I. Robertson)
