Description
A US Army M26A1 12 ton 6x6 tractor (unarmoured tank recovery vehicle and transporter) towing a damaged M26 General Pershing tank across a shallow stream. The tank was damaged during the allied forces' breakout from the Pusan perimeter. At left, a Korean refugee with a pack on his back crosses the stream in the other direction. Other refugees are in the background. The refugees are returning to their farms after the repulse of North Korean forces in the Pusan breakout.
