Description
Korea, c. 1950-10. Korean refugees cross a bridge on their way home to their farms after the repulse of North Korean forces by the allies in their breakout from the Pusan perimeter. The woman (right) is carrying a bundle of household goods on her head and an infant child on her back. The man behind her, probably her husband, is carrying a load of goods on a frame on his back and a child who clings to the extended top of the frame. Further back are two girls, the one in front carrying a kettle in one hand and a small bundle in the other. Bringing up the rear is a man who is bending under the weight of a large load on his back.
