Description
Korea, c. 1950-10. As part of a convoy of vehicles belonging to the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), a Ford 'Blitz' truck and behind it several jeeps cross a badly-damaged bridge spanning a river. Several 3RAR soldiers are sitting or leaning on the roof of the truck's cabin. The bridge was damaged in an attack by North Korean troops and in their later repulse by allied forces. Note that metal tracks have been lain across a missing section of the bridge (right) to enable traffic to pass over it. The convoy may be travelling on the Taegu-Songju road. (Donor I. Robertson)
