Identified from left to right: NX34734 Capt Reginald William James Newton, Headquarters Company (later held as a POW and awarded MBE); NX12595 Lieutenant Colonel Charles Groves Wright Anderson, Commanding Officer (later held as a POW and awarded the Victoria Cross) (with binoculars), and NX34960 Captain Stewart Fawcett Burt, Intelligence Officer (left Malaya to return to Australia on 15 February 1942).
