Description
Yongju area, North Korea, 1950-10-22. With mugs and dixies set out on a couple of wooden chairs, four members of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), have a drink and a meal after the battalion had defeated a large force of North Koreans in the Battle of the Apple Orchard. The soldier partly obscured at the rear of the group (right) is NX135280 Sergeant Tom Murray, drum major and stretcher bearer with Battalion Headquarters (BHQ). The two soldiers in the foreground are nursing their Owen submachine guns. (Donor I. Robertson)
